The event kicks off in May and ends in June – all while celebrating female entrepreneurship. \nCelebrating Dreams starts with an online showcase of Woman-Owned businesses that display their products and services all in one place from May 1st – June 30th\, 2021.  \nLeading up to the May 27th event\, we will host free webinars every Thursday in May! These focus on increasing diversity and growing your business. \nThe event culminates with a free evening of celebration\, connection\, and opportunities for Women in business. This year\, some of our panels for the night include\, “Recovery Ready Case Studies” and and “The Economic Value of Woman-Owned Businesses” with Janice R. Green\, Ph.D.\, Erika Borg\, Liliana Paredes\, and Kate Isler. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Zoom for an art exhibit and poetry reading to celebrate the diversity of our wonderful community! The free event will take place on Thursday\, March 25\, from 6:30-8 p.m. Please register on our Eventbrite page. \nArtist Hoa Hong will talk with community members about her beautiful “Faces of the Community” paintings\, which grace the walls at Spice Bridge. We’ll also experience poetry performances by Foster High School ELL students who participated in the Stories of Arrival: Refugee and Immigrant Youth Voices Poetry Project. Their powerful visual poems\, currently on display at Spice Bridge\, include creative self-portraits\, along with poetry and art that honors homelands\, tells of border crossings and migration\, and speaks to dreams for a more peaceful world. \nThis project is supported\, in part\, by a grant from 4Culture\, and by the City of Tukwila Arts Commission.

This event is a celebration during National Welcoming Week\, bringing together immigrants\, refugees\, and native-born residents to raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone. The evening will consist of a meal catered by Project Feast\, facilitated dialogue along with music\, and an opportunity to connect with new faces and people of all different cultures and religious affiliations. \nThe sharing and storytelling will be facilitated by SiSwinKlae. \nWhile this event is free and open to all ages\, be advised that the feasting and sharing will happen with everyone seated for roughly 2 hours.
