The South Everett Forest Preserve, is by a pocket forest tucked into a neighborhood that provides habitat for birds and other animals, beauty for those that live around it, and many other benefits of a forest. Join Green Everett in helping keep that forest as happy and healthy as possible as we knock out invasive plants that threaten to crowd out native plants.
Forest restoration activities: Remove invasive non-native plants such as English ivy and Himalayan blackberry.
What to bring: Come dressed to work outside (rain or shine) with sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle or coffee cup. We will provide coffee, refreshments, and light snacks, plus tools and work gloves.
Youth volunteers: If you are under 18 and attending the event without a parent or guardian, please come to the event with a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian. The Green Everett Partnership youth release waiver can be found here.
Please RSVP for the event by contacting greeneverett@forterra.org / 425-238-0065
The Green Everett Partnership Vision: Healthy forested parklands supported by an aware and engaged community in which individuals, neighborhoods, nonprofits, businesses, and city government are all working together to protect and maintain their valuable public resources.
